5 Master Shots Commentary

Contrast: For the Contrast shot, a painting of a palm tree was zoomed in on; later, a real palm tree was zoomed out on. These two shots were connected to show contrast between a fake and a real palm tree. Parallelism: For the Parallelism shot, two different videos with related events are put back to back. A football player in a game and a cheerleader stunting were used. The video goes back and forth between the two events to show parallelism. Leit Motif : For the Leit Motif shot, Berluche went up to a sad boy and threw his phone out of his hand acting as a bully while sad music played in the background. Simultaneity: For the Simultaneity shot, the video cut between two different people walking in opposite directions on the stairs. I went down the stairs and Berluche went up. We were doing similar actions but going in opposite directions. Symbolism: For the Symbolic shot, we took a video of the Haitian flag in Nations Square and tilted the camera downward to show Antwo...

Commentary on Movie Angles (Week 4)

Review of a few Camera Angles in the Movie Black Panther (2018) From Producer Kevin Feige The movie I chose to comment on was Black Panther (2018) because I didn't really get it the first time I watched it so I decided it would be in my best interest to rewatch. This movie is a Sci-Fi/ Action about an African country, Wakanda that was hidden away from the rest of the world since its discovery. Wakanda is made up almost completely from the most powerful metal in the world, vibranium. This precious and powerful metal attracts a man who intends to use the Vibranium for evil purposes. The throne of Wakanda is also challenged throughout the movie and the question of whether or not the vibranium falls into the wrong hands stays with the viewers throughout the movie. In one the introductory scenes. a shuttle from Wakanda is shown from a High Angle. As it rises into the sky, people gather at the bottom and look up at it in awe.
